Hanyang University International Summer School
Hanyang International Summer School (HISS) is a 4-week program where students get the opportunity to study abroad and experience Korean culture in a unique way. Students can take up to 3 classes (9 credits), and participate in various field trips and extra-curricular activities. A wide-range of courses are offered including Korean Studies, Humanities, Business, Economics, International Relations, Media & Communication, Design, Science, Sports, and Korean language. The various field trips each have their own theme. This can be touristic, cultural and historical, industry related, leisure and entertainment, outdoor, etc. Through these field trips and activities students can immerse themselves in Korean culture and get the most out of their time in Korea.

HISS Tuition for Partner Institutions is approx. $1500.00 (regardless of number of classes), tuition includes Friday activities and city tour as detailed in the program calendar here: http://www.hanyangsummer.com/academics/calendar/
Housing Cost is approx. $500-800 (More info on accommodations- http://www.hanyangsummer.com/campus-life/accommodation/)
Students will also be required to purchase Study Abroad Health Insurance through our provider CISI. Please contact the Education Abroad Program Coordinator for this program (Cynthia Tatis, email@example.com) for more information on cost and how to enroll.
Airfare, meals, and other personal expenses are NOT included in the program cost.
Global Learning Scholarship
All degree-seeking KSU students in good academic standing who have paid the global learning fee and are enrolled in KSU education abroad experiences will be eligible for the scholarship as long as they have applied for the education abroad program by the published deadlines. All students share a room with a roommate and each room is furnished with separate beds, closets, and desks. There are pillows and blankets, but students are advised to purchase or bring towels and sheets/cases themselves.Among the facilities available near the buildings are a study hall, a convenient store, a laundry room and a cafeteria. Please note that the housing fee does not include meals. Students can have meals at various student cafeterias on campus or at nearby restaurants both on and off campus.
In every room, free internet access is available. Students who have laptop computers can easily access the internet in their room. You can access the internet through a wired LAN connection. LAN cables are not provided but can be bought at a department store nearby. If you want a wireless connection for your tablet or smartphone, you can share your computer’s internet connection with this device. Download Connectify (Windows) or Personal Hotspot (Mac). You can also purchase (or take) a wireless router at a department store nearby.

Students will need to complete a credit approval form to ensure courses taken on the program will transfer back to KSU! Once the student has applied online through KSU, contact Cynthia tatis at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an advising appointment.

Education Abroad International Programs Specialist
EDUCATION ABROAD REFUND POLICY & PROCEDURES
All application fees are non-refundable, except in the case of:
*Program cancellation by Kennesaw State University
*A wait-listed student who is not added into the program
*A student who has applied to one education abroad program and clearly notifies the Education Abroad Office--in writing and prior to the application deadline--of his/her desire change the application to an alternate KSU program
Refunds for application fees will be issued in the same form of payment originally used for purchase. Please be sure to retain all account information used for purchase and notify the Education Abroad Office (EAO) in advance if there is a problem with your account. The EAO will not be responsible for refunds sent to closed accounts.
Upon registration for the KSU faculty-led education abroad academic course(s), the designated program fee (distinct from tuition) is charged to the student's account. The student has up to one month to pay the program fee in full, following a specific payment schedule. Failure to pay the program fee in full by the stated deadline may result in deletion from the program.
All program fees are non-refundable. In all cases, the student will only receive recoverable fees, subject to the rules/policies of external service providers. Any such refund will not include the initial application fee and will not be issued until after the education abroad program is completed.
Payment and refund of tuition will follow the normal processes establish by the Offices of the Registrar and Bursar. Students wishing to withdraw from any study abroad program or course must submit their request in writing through the Education Abroad Office.
