Kennesaw State University and Laval University in Laval, Canada have established a full-time, multi-year student exchange program. Each year, students have the opportunity to participate in several programs – semester or year-long exchanges (for undergraduates and MBA students), a four-week summer business school, a five-week intensive French language program, or a combination of all three!

Summer Business School Programs
Program Descriptions

There are four different Summer Business Programs ULaval offers:
- Smart Cities In The Era Of Data – Québec City, Smart City (June 20 – July 21, 2019)
- Supply Chain Management (June 25 – July 5, 2019)
- International Marketing: Discovering the Québec Effect! (July 8 – July 19, 2019)
- International Economics (July 22 – August 2, 2019)

Students have the choice of participating in one program or a combination of programs.

Application deadline: March 1st

Program Cost
A $150 nonrefundable administration fee is due at the time of application.
Please note: you will NOT be considered for this program until you have paid this fee!
 
Tuition and fees: Amount dependent on number of credit hours, paid to Kennesaw State University. Please see the KSU Bursar's website for the current cost.

Program fees:
Each program costs CAD $1,750. If students wish to attend more than one program, they will be offered a discounted price and will only pay CAD $1,500 per program.
*Please note that Airfare and KSU tuition/fees are not included and must be paid in addition to the program fee.

To determine how these courses fulfill requirements towards a degree program(business and non-business), students must contact the Coles Advising Center for consultation.

Additional Requirements:
Applicants are required to have a minimum of 2.75 cumulative GPA, at least sophomore-level standing at the time of application, have completed their gateway courses, and have been accepted into their respective degree program.

 Varying levels of French language depending on student's ability.
 
NOTE: You must coordinate in advance (before you register and pay) with the Coles Undergraduate Advising Center to verify how the Business and Language courses will fulfill your degree requirements (for Business students). French language students will consult with the Foreign Language Department.

Semester and Year-Long Options

Laval University offers options for Business majors during the semester, including Business classes taught in English or French. Students with sufficiently advanced French language capabilities will have more options for courses. Most classes are available to exchange students provided that they meet necessary prerequisites and that there is space in the class.

Housing

 
Depending upon the length of your program, students can stay on campus or obtain off-campus housing. During your welcome week, the International Activities Centre will be there to pick you up at the airport, help you get settled, meet other students, register for classes, and many other activities.

EDUCATION ABROAD REFUND POLICY & PROCEDURES

APPLICATION FEES

All application fees are non-refundable, except in the case of:

*Program cancellation by Kennesaw State University
*A wait-listed student who is not added into the program
*A student who has applied to one education abroad program and clearly notifies the Education Abroad Office--in writing and prior to the application deadline--of his/her desire change the application to an alternate KSU program

Refunds for application fees will be issued in the same form of payment originally used for purchase.  Please be sure to retain all account information used for purchase and notify the Education Abroad Office (EAO) in advance if there is a problem with your account.  The EAO will not be responsible for refunds sent to closed accounts.

PROGRAM FEES

Upon registration for the KSU faculty-led education abroad academic course(s), the designated program fee (distinct from tuition) is charged to the student's account. The student has up to one month to pay the program fee in full, following a specific payment schedule. Failure to pay the program fee in full by the stated deadline may result in deletion from the program.

All program fees are non-refundable. In all cases, the student will only receive recoverable fees, subject to the rules/policies of external service providers.  Any such refund will not include the initial application fee and will not be issued until after the education abroad program is completed.

TUITION PAYMENTS

Payment and refund of tuition will follow the normal processes establish by the Offices of the Registrar and Bursar.  Students wishing to withdraw from any study abroad program or course must submit their request in writing through the Education Abroad Office.
